Si’s away on tour in North America with Novo Amor, so that’s a good excuse to bring back mental health tips from tour.

This tip comes with a warning to not get jealous of the fact that Si’s in shorts & a vest cuz it’s like 40° in California, if you’re watching this back home in rainy Wales..

We posted it on both Instagram, and TikTok – so make sure you’re following us on there for more tips from tour!

Here’s the script, if you’d prefer to read it!

This is mental health tips from tour, and this is coming to you from Santa Ana, California.

I started doing these on tour across Europe, and figured we should pick it up with both me and Beth doing separate tours across North America. So here’s the tip!

Don’t be afraid to try

It’s to practise, and not be afraid of sucking at something the first time you try it. When you see stuff online you’re typically seeing the final result, which misses out loads of mistakes, practise runs, and generally.. not getting it right.

Dude, sucking at something is the first step towards being sorta good at something

Whether it’s trying out a new coping strategy, and by the way you’ll find loads of those here! Or talking about your mental health. Or even just generally… working on your mental health, the very first time you try it, it won’t be perfect. But that’s not a reason to give up or write yourself off. Keep on practising, and getting a little better at it each time. Every time you try again, you get a little bit better.

If you found this helpful

Then please give it a share! And if you wanna reeeallly make our day, you could grab some of our merch with a message, so we can continue to bring you stuff like this.
